2 Corinthians 4:2 - But we have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
2 Corinthians 4:3 - But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2 Corinthians 4:4 - In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Galatians 1:8 But though if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed
This is the path of teaching, preaching and witnessing. We are not to espouse our own man made beliefs but instead, the true gospel of Christ should come from our mouths. Just as the verse states, we are in the light as given by God Almighty. We are to walk and talk in this light. We are to live as we teach and preach. We must always give the truth as Jesus gave it, not leading to men’s rituals. The light of truth will shine as long as we hold the truth to ourselves. We are to be seen as what we are, Christians.
We are to never follow any other teachings and believe. We are to obey the words of Christ, given to Him from God.
Christians who believe in the gospels. Just as the early Christians believed and walked, we are to do the same. We live in the light so as to not sin. When we think about it, to live in the light would not let us do anything we would not want someone to know about. For example, someone who is a liar would not lie in front of another who would know the truth. Someone who is a thief would not steal in full view of the police. So it is with Christians, if we walk in the light, knowing that God always sees, then we are more careful of our actions and speech. We would not try to deceive or mislead anyone for our fear of God.
John 4:3 illustrates the truth that is hidden from non-believers, those who will never believe no matter what the proof. Certain people only want to try and manipulate the Lord. They have no understanding of the Gospel. This demonstrates the futility of preaching over and over to those who will never listen or try to understand. They only want to condemn or hate because of our faith in the one and only living God. There will always be those who will refuse Christ and the salvation He offers freely.
Christ died for all who will receive Him. For all who will repent and receive the salvation our Lord God has provided. His glory and light will shine upon those who love Him and they are blessed. But to those who will refuse this, His light will not be upon them. The Lord God is always just in His actions, though we may not fully understand His ways. He is God, we are His creations and He loves us. That should be enough for anyone but sadly, it is not.
So, we, as Christians will carry on in His word and live our lives according to His commandments. To love all and to ask forgiveness for ourselves and others. To give forgiveness as quickly as we ourselves, receive forgiveness from our God. We will follow the teachings of Jesus and live our lives as an example, as a way of praise to Him. We will obey our God in all things concerning our life. These commitments are an expression off our love for our God and Savior. This shows obedience to the commandments of Christ.
The love we will offer and live in, is a unique type of love. It’s the kind we receive form our God. It is all forgiving, all-encompassing and freely given with a happy heart. The love from God is unconditional as displayed by His willingness to forgive us, even while we were in sin. The love from and of God for humankind is beyond any understanding. None of us did anything to deserve His forgiveness, He offered His Son for us even when we were filthy in sin. He washed us clean through the Blood of Christ our Lord. We are the examples of the light, we are the examples of the gospels in our actions. We are the examples of what being a Christian is all about. We choose to obey the Lord and follow Christ’s example. When we choose to obey His teachings and live according to His Word, we can be sure to receive our reward.
Our reward in heaven will be far more glorious than we could ever imagine. As we now, this life we live on earth is so short, so brief that it pales to the eternity we have waiting. We will be in the presence of our God and savior forever. We will have no more tears, heartache, hunger, thirst, illness or loss, forever.
This is only a part of what we are to obtain because of our faith. God is truth, and we can believe and have confidence in His promises. To know Christ is to be a part of the family of God the Father. To be in the inheritance with Christ our Lord. To know that this life, what we see and live is not all there is, is an amazing thing. Trust in the Lord, have faith and just believe. Live the Christian life and be blessed. The Lord will surely make your “cup runneth over”. The Bible is a guide book of how we are to live, worship and praise our God. On how to treat others and do no harm to anyone. We should all spread the gospel of Christ, which is to repent from sin, believe in Him and receive salvation by the grace of God. We must focus on the message as well as the messenger. His kingdom is coming and we should at all times be ready.
We are to help spread the gospel and the salvation offered by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, not by force or intimidation. Not by threats or coercion, but by love and kindness. Jesus was the gospel, but He acted in love, in kindness and in patience. Accepting Christ as savior is a choice we make based on our belief in the Word of God. His preaching was for anyone who would listen, and He gave Himself for all who would accept Him. He did not force the belief in Him or God upon anyone. He just informed everyone of this knowledge. He did show Himself for who He is, the Son of God. He did this through His miracles, and through His preaching the word of God the Father. So, let each of us do the same, speak the truth and live the speech, be blessed and thank God always. Repentance and salvation is only a breath away from anyone who wants it. The grace of God is open to all who ask. Permanent forgiveness is available now. We have all wanted at some time in our lives a do over. A chance do things different in our lives and not live with regret or guilt. No, we can’t go back in time and change the past, but we can start all over with no sin past to hang over our heads. We can move forward knowing the Lord has wiped our slate clean. Imagine having no past sin to regret, only what we make of ourselves going forward. This truly is a fresh start.
The best example is Paul, he had a terrible past, but the Lord made him new, and just look at what he did with this new beginning. We also have a bad past, but through the grace of God and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, that is removed from us. We have become new and different. Therefore, we must live in this new life and not return to the old. If you were wearing dirty filthy clothes, and someone gave you some new clean clothes, why would you ever put the filthy ones back on? Once you have been cleansed by the Lord you are perfect. Walk and live in your new life, in your new self no longer defined by you past.
We have been offered this through the grace of God. We have been made new, with a clean slate, so we can make a better life and have a richer reward. Praise God always for His love and grace. May the peace of our Lord be upon you forever.
